A Breath Of Fresh Air...

A Breath Of Fresh Air...

We're taking you along for the morning with us...

Sadly, we completely forgot to take a few photos this morning but in all honesty we were up a lot (7!!) times with the kids last night... All 3 children woke up multiple times.. there was something in the air! So this morning was actually just all about coffee, brushing hair and sorting school and daycare bags... so lets actually start the morning at 9am instead of 6am okay!

First up (after daycare and school drop off) we headed to the office to collect this mornings shoot styles and accessories. I finalised all of the looks, steamed the clothes and organised the accessories yesterday which made for a swift visit to the studio (but enough time to make another pot of coffee to take on the road!!)

Todays shoot location was beautiful Bunker Bay. It was a little windy when we first arrived but i knew we'd still make the location work. We had crisp air and bright blue skies so we headed towards the south end of the beach which was a little more protected.

My husband Joel acted as shoot assistant this morning and was able to carry all we needed down to the end of the beach. As soon as we set up, Joel headed off and we got to work.

Catie is such a dream to work with. It's honestly so refreshing and inspiring to work with a talent like her. A natural in front of the camera (she's a talented professional dancer) we can be chatting away about our children one minute and then be in total work mode getting the shot of the day the next!

We shot for around 2 hours before Joel turned up again with hot coffees (thank god!) and we were able to wrap things up.

I always need a few hours to decompress after a shoot. I spend weeks dreaming up the perfect vibe for each shoot and executing it on the day is such a fulfilling exercise but it really takes it out of me. Shooting our campaigns is one of the biggest joys of my life so I don't think i'll be giving this up anytime soon but as the brand grows I do feel like adding to my team in this area will be beneficial eventually.

I headed into town after the shoot to pick up some fresh flowers for home and i'll spend the next few hours (and days!) editing the shoot and preparing our new launch.

I hope you love these behind the scenes pics... I haven't added too many of the styles we shot as I'll share these over on Instagram first but I have snuck a few in.

Much love and thank you for reading along..
